Department of Computer Engineering
Department of Computer Engineering was established in 1966.
Currently the department is coordinating and EU’s Horizon2020 Research&Innovation Action IMMORTAL – Integrated Modelling, Fault Management, Verification and Reliable Design Environment for Cyber Physical Systems (2015-2018), and EU’s H2020 TUTORIAL: Mutual learning to enhance scientific excellence in nanoelectronics based dependable cyber-physical systems. The Department also participates in EU’s FP7 research project BASTION – Board and SoC Test Instrumentation for Ageing and No-Failure-Found (2014-2016).
The main activities for the department are:
- Organizing computer hard- and software related studies
- Research in the fields of complex computer systems, their desing, diagnosics, testing, and software development
- Cooperation with universities and enterprises
- Curricula development and modernization of lab equipment
